From the Technology Architecture point of view, Internet of Things can be divided into three layers: the perception layer, the network layer and the application layer. the perception Layer is formed by various sensors and sensor gateways, including apperceive terminals such as carbon dioxide concentration sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, two-dimensional code label, RFID tag and reader, camera, GPS and so on. the apperceive layer, which function is similar the humans eye, nose, throat ,skin and other nerve endings, it is the source of things of internets to object to identify and information collection, the main function is to identify objects, collecting information.


The network layer is composed of various private networks, Internet, wired and wireless communication network, network management system and cloud computing platform. It is equivalent to human nerve center and brain, and responsible for transmitting and processing information obtained by perception layer.


Application layer is interface the Internet of Things and users (including people, organizations and other systems), it is combined with industry needs, to achieve the intelligent application of things.


The industry characteristics of the Internet of Things are mainly reflected in the application area, now the green agriculture, industrial monitoring, public safety, urban management, telemedicine, smart home, intelligent transportation and environmental monitoring. in some industry has accumulated some successful cases.


key technique

There are three key techniques in Internet of Things applications:

1、Sensor technology is the key technology in computer applications. As all knows, so far the vast majority of computer processing are digital signals. Since the computer come out, we need the sensor to convert the analog signnal to digital signal when running the computer.

2、RFID tags are also a sensor technology, RFID technology is a combination of wireless radio frequency technology and embedded technology as one integrated technology, RFID has a broad application prospects in the automatic identification and logistics management area.

3、Embedded system technology is a complex technology which combination of computer hardware, software, sensor technology, integrated circuit technology, electronic application technology as an one.

After decades of evolution, intelligent terminal products with embedded systems characterized are everywhere;

small to people around the MP3, large  to aerospace satellite system. Embedded systems are changing people's lives, driving the development of industrial production and defense industry. If the Internet of things with the human body to do a simple analogy, the sensor is equivalent to the human eye, nose, skin and other senses, the network is the nervous system  to transfer information, embedded system is the human brain, it will classified being processed after receiving information. This  is a very image example of the sensor, embedded systems in the Internet of things in the location and role.
